4-H adult volunteers needed
4-H prides itself on their mission statement: “4-H empowers youth to reach their full potential working and learning in partnership with caring adults.”
Washington County 4-H is excited to accept new volunteers anytime. However, 4-H is currently looking for adult volunteers to help carry out the 4-H mission in two different volunteer capacities: a dairy superintendent and a Brighton representative for the 4-H & Youth Committee.
The dairy superintendent is expected to be present during the county fair to help coordinate the dairy show, and set up the barn. They arrange for a judge ahead of time and help brainstorm new classes or ways to encourage the dairy project area in Washington County.
The 4-H and Youth Committee is an adult volunteer group that represents the entire county. They are currently looking for a Brighton-area representative who can meet once a month with the group. This group helps supervise and plan 4-H activities, volunteers during the fair, evaluates policy, and works to develop new programs for 4-H members in the county.
Please contact Amy at the Washington County Extension Office for more information on any of these volunteer positions at 319-653-4811 or <email@example.com>.
