4-H Bucket Bottle Project meeting set for Feb. 28
4-H’ers involved in the bucket bottle project are invited to attend an informational meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at the Washington County Extension Office. This is an introductory meeting to the Bucket Bottle Project. Department superintendents will discuss deadlines, records and fair requirements. Workbooks will be available for purchase as well.
A Washington business is partnering with this workshop and will have bucket bottle project starter kits available to 4-H members who attend the workshop that include a bottle, milk replacer, calf starter and coupons. Two 50-pound bags of feed calf starter and milk replacer will be given as door prizes.
4-H is for youth who want to learn how to properly care for the environment, their communities and each other. For more information on 4-H or the bucket bottle calf project area, please contact the Washington County Extension Office at 319-653-4811.
