4-H’ers take the fair on the road
On Sunday, April 13, the 76 Progressives 4-H Club took a mini-version of the county fair on the road to Maplewood Manor in Keota. Members had a Christmas party with residents in December, and decided to return in the spring for additional activities. Members played Bingo with residents, had a ring toss for prizes, colored spring door decorations, and planted flowers for residents to enjoy in their rooms and common areas.
Members of the 76 Progressives enjoy service activities and the opportunity to share their heads, hands and hearts with members of their community. The May meeting activity will be highway cleanup along Highway 92.
The 76 Progressives 4-H Club is led by volunteers Deidra Baker and Jayme Sieren. For more information on this Keota-area club, contact the Washington County Extension Office at 319-653-4811.
