Accident reported Saturday afternoon
The Iowa State Patrol reported today responding to an accident that was reported Saturday afternoon just northwest of County Line Road and 190th Street in Washington County.
According to the report, a state trooper responded to reports of an accident at the request of the Washington County Sheriff’s office. On arrival, the trooper found tracks leading eastbound on 190th, which is a gravel road, and a 1988 Chevrolet 150 pickup on its side in the south ditch with no driver.
The reports said that the evidence supports that the vehicle was eastbound on 190th and went into the ditch, rolling onto its passenger side. The trooper went to the owner’s residence and spoke with the owner. According to the report, the truck was not stolen, but the owner was not driving it and he didn’t know who was.
