At the LibraryFive reasons to be thankful for libraries
Books. Books are such an incredible way to expand knowledge and personal development. They can take you on an adventure in a different world, universe or era. The best part is libraries offer these resources for FREE!
Community Events. Story time for kids, tech help, teen and tween programs, books clubs, book signings and other fun activities that take place in libraries, and all for FREE! Attending programs are a great way to meet new people in your community and learn while having fun.
Computer/Internet access. If you don’t have Internet access at your home or your Internet at home fails, there is hope. Your local library has you covered! The Washington Public Library has FREE Wi-Fi throughout the entire building or you can access the internet using one of our public computers.
Study Space. Getting tired of studying at home or at school, and need a change of pace? The library has a lot of open desk space to fill all your studying needs. The Washington Public Library has three quiet study rooms that patrons can use for FREE!
Movies. The Washington Public Library has a great assortment of movies from romantic comedies, action, comedy, drama, documentaries, and foreign films. Going to see a movie at the theater can be expensive. Checking out a movie from the library enables you to have a movie night at home for FREE!
Be thankful for your library. It is one of the best resources we have!
