Neighbors Growing Together | Sep 19, 2014

At the Library

By Drew Kirk | Aug 29, 2014

Here at the Washington Public Library, we will be enjoying the 2014 All Iowa Reads book "Little Wolves" written by Thomas Maltman. This book is Maltman’s second novel which has a solid storyline and many interesting twists and turns. Although this book is set the 1980s, it is quite modern and up to date.

This book is a powerful murder mystery capturing the audience’s attention with non-stop page-turning success. Two of the characters' paths collide and mix together into a soup of perfect mystery and suspense. One character is a father who is searching for clues into why his son committed a horrendous crime of murder; another is a pastor’s wife who is a scholar of early Angelo-Saxon literature and comes back to town for very clouded reasons of her own. The whole book’s plot is in a small town in Midwestern America which really gives a huge connection between reality and fiction.

Soon we will be getting copies for patron check out here at the library. If you are interested in the book there will be a community discussion on Sunday, Sept. 28,at 4pm. This will be for all age groups, teens through adults, who may be interested. We hope to see you soon to share this wonderful book!
