Neighbors Growing Together | Sep 21, 2014

At the Library

By LeAnn Kunz | Apr 12, 2013

Let us entertain (and educate) you! There is a lot going on at the Washington Public Library this week, all of it free and open to the public!

On Thursday, April 18, at noon, we invite you to a Poetry Share in celebration of National Poetry Month. Come and listen to fellow community members present some lively renditions of poems out loud. If you would like to also share a poem, please RSVP at the library or call 653-2726.

On Saturday, April 20, at 1 p.m., we have a program just for the kids! Kindergarten through third-graders are invited to celebrate Earth Day with a short movie and an earth day craft. Registration is at the children’s desk.

Even if you do not attend one of our many programs this week, don’t forget to drop in and view the “Week of the Young Child” art display in the Helen Wilson Gallery on the second level of the library. It is a display of artwork from area preschools and day care centers. Of course, you can also just stop by for a book, magazine, or an audio cd to” let us entertain you” through next week!
