A Friday morning fire destroyed a metal barn on the Aaron Coakley property on the 1100 grid of the Henry Washington Street northwest of Wayland. Wayland Fire Chief Matt Leichty said the fire’s cause has yet to be determined. “We just contained it, it was completely engulfed when we go there,” Leichty said. The barn and its contents (hay and a feed wagon) were a total loss. Firemen were on the scene for a couple of hours.
