Henry County Emergency Management Coordinator Walt Jackson confirmed that a bomb threat was received late Tuesday morning. The students were evacuated to the school’s football field. A perimeter was created around the school. Drivers on Highway 78 had to detour around the emergency crews. About 30 emergency responders searched the school. At about 12:30 p.m. the students were let back in. Jackson said the incident is under investigation. Charges against someone ma–king this kind of threat could include terrorism, which brings 25 years in prison, he said. See Wednesday’s Washington Evening Journal for more information.
