Bright idea

Apr 11, 2013
New and more ornate street lights will line Washington Street in Brighton thanks to a city program to replace the existing lights. The city owns eight street lights in town, with Alliant Energy owning the others. A Washington County Riverboat Foundation grant was received last spring to replace the lights and to install underground power lines. Workers began installing the new lights earlier this week. The project is expected to be complete by the end of April.
