Brighton man arrested after accident Friday
AINSWORTH — A Brighton man faces charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, reckless driving and driving on the wrong side of a two-way highway after an accident Friday night.
According to the Washington County call log, Jared James Reed of Brighton was arrested following an accident that occurred in the 3000 block of 220th Street in Ainsworth. Reed’s court records were not available before press time.
The log said that dispatch received a call at 10:26 p.m. Friday reporting that a possible drunk driver hit another vehicle. Officers, Ainsworth QRS, and Washington County Ambulance all responded.
A subject in the other vehicle reportedly had a cut on her arm, but was not transported.
A charge of operating while intoxicated is pending on Reed.
