Pat Remington of Brighton, with grandsons Cody, James and Christopher of Mount Pleasant, were overnight guests of her mother, Dorothy Babberl of Windsor Heights, on Aug. 15. Pat and the boys traveled to Omaha, Neb., on Aug. 16. They enjoyed the “200” on Aug. 17.
On Aug. 18, they drove to Jordan Creek Mall to meet Pat’s daughter, mother, and sister — Brandy Poli of Waukee, and Dorothy Babberl with Kathy of Chariton. They enjoyed shopping and dining at Denny’s before returning home.
Greg Fritz of Fairfield took his mother, Winifred Fritz, to Iowa City on Aug. 16. She returned home to a household of company. Her children were there to provide the evening meal, complete with cake and ice cream. Those present were Mary Stecker with friend Joel and Bridget Hollingsworth, and Jane and Virgil Symmonds, all of Fairfield; Lucy Dietzman with Malcolm and Branden of Keosauqua; and Charles and Debbie Fritz with Nathan and Jess of Sigourney.
Mary Stecker and Joel returned to Winifred’s home on Aug. 18.
Gerald Pacha won two tickets to the Iowa State Fair Tractor Pull on Aug. 14. Melvin Mullikin of Packwood accompanied him. While the guys attended the tractor pull, Rosemary Pacha volunteered at the soybean booth.
The Krony Krew Bridge Cub met on Aug. 28 at the home of Kathryn Dickinson. Prizes were awarded to Liz Gegner, Louise Frakes and Shirley Schooley. The next meeting will be held Sept. 11 at the home of Louise Frakes.
Tony Fritz of Brighton with friend Lynn of North Liberty, and Mary Stecker with friend Joel of Fairfield, visited their mother, Winifred Fritz, on Aug. 25.
