Donna Guy of Brighton participated in “Art in the Park” in Fort Madison on Sept. 22. The event was sponsored by the Fort Madison Rotary Club. Donna received “The Purchase Award.”
Don’t forget the Brighton United Church’s Annual Windsor Chop Supper. It will be held Oct. 5 at the Brighton Community Room. Serving will be from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Want to give 4-H a try? The Brighton Good Luck Club is getting ready to start. They meet once a month on the third Wednesday at Brighton Community Building. On Sept. 22, Mary Stecker with Bridget Hollingsworth and friend Joel of Fairfield visited her mother, Winifred Fritz. Winifred received a phone call from her cousin Jim Arndt of Texarkana, Texas, on Sept. 23.
Tony and Angela Garmoe with James and Christopher of Mount Pleasant met her mother, Pat Remington of Brighton, on Sept. 24. They went to Ainsworth. After visiting Pat’s son Travis, they enjoyed dining at the Four Corners Truck Stop.
The Krony Krew Bridge Club met Sept. 25 at the home of Sarah Robison. Elaine Watson was a guest. Prizes went to Kathryn Dickinson, Liz Gegner and Dorothy Miller. Their next meeting will be Oct. 9 at the home of Shirley Schooley.
