Artist Alzora Zarumba from the state of Washington held a workshop on flamingos, Nov. 11-14 at the home of Linda Grice in South English. Donna Guy, with daughter Deb Greiner, both of Brighton, and several of Donna’s art class students attended the workshop.
Chapter AQ, P.E.O., met at the home of Nancy Anderson on Nov. 19. Sixteen members were present. Ruth Ann Stacy gave the program on friendship quilts. Their next meeting will be a Christmas social on Dec. 3 at the home of Louise Frakes.
The Krony Krew Bridge Club met on Nov. 20 at the home of Kathryn Dickinson. Shirley Schooley, Kathryn Dickinson and Phyllis Scheeler were the winners. Their next meeting will be Dec. 4. The place will be decided later.
Rita Berry of Bates City, Mo., surprised her mother, Winifred Fritz, by arriving on Nov. 15. She returned home on Nov. 21.
Bridget Hollingsworth of Fairfield and her aunt Rita Berry attended the Iowa basketball game on Nov. 17.
Providing the evening meal Nov. 17 at the home of Winifred Fritz were her children: Mary Stecker with friend Joel, Jane and Virgil Symmonds, and Greg and Deb Fritz, all of Fairfield; and Tony Fritz of Brighton with friend Lynn of North Liberty. J.D. Hollingsworth, Mary’s son, of Packwood, was also present.
Joe Fritz with Julia and Sophia enjoyed the evening meal of Nov. 19 at the home of his mother, Winifred Fritz, along with Rita Berry.
