The Brighton Lions Club held its monthly meeting on Thursday, Jan. 9. Nine members and 16 guests enjoyed a delicious Swiss steak dinner with homemade ice cream and apple crisp dessert furnished by Sweet Blessings of Brighton. After the meal, the Brighton Lions presented a 45-minute program with their guests on what the Brighton Lions do for their community and worldwide. They told how new members renew the Lions Club spirit by sharing their ideas to help serve the community’s needs. The program included the statements: “Congratulations to the Brighton Lions Club’s 12 new members. We also want to thank those Lions members who have served the Brighton community for many years; many are only with us in spirit, but we are honored to still have a few charter members with us. Thank you all for your years of serving our community.”
The Brighton Lions Club meets every second Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Brighton Community Center. Come visit and join the fun.
