On Feb. 22, Coraline, daughter of Nathan and Rachael Germany of Nevada, Iowa, celebrated her 3rd birthday. A special evening meal and party was held at the home of her grandparents, Virgil and Jane Symmonds of Fairfield. Other guests present were Coraline’s aunt and uncle, Kelly and Nolan Symmonds of Kalona; great-grandmother Winifred Fritz of Brighton; and great-uncle Marty Symmonds of Pleasant Plain.
J.D. Hollingsworth of Packwood recently enjoyed the noon meal, afternoon and evening at the home of his grandmother, Winifred Fritz. That afternoon they were joined by Winifred’s daughters, Mary Stecker with Bridget Hollingsworth of Fairfield, and friend Joel of Fairfield, and Lucy Dietzman with Malcolm and Brendan of Keosauqua — all of whom provided the evening meal. Lori Fritz with Sophia of Brighton stopped in later to visit and sell Girl Scout cookies.
Abbie Sieren of Keota stayed with her grandparents, Bob and Carrol Shelangoski, Feb. 18-21.
On Feb. 22, Bob and Carrol Shelangoski traveled to Keota to watch their grandson, Wyatt Sieren, play basketball.
Shirley Schooley spent the weekend of Feb. 21 with her son Marty Schooley and family in Vernon Hills, Ill.
