Winifred Fritz was visited on March 16 by her children, Mary Stecker with fiancé Joel of Fairfield, and Tony Fritz of Brighton with friend Lynn of North Liberty. Also present were Mary’s children, Bridget Hollingsworth of Fairfield and J.D. Hollingsworth of Packwood. Bridget had just returned from a trip to Haiti, and J.D. provided photos from his trip to Spain.
Brighton Chapter AQ, P.E.O., met March 18 at the home of Ginny Brinton in Brighton. Fifteen members and two guests were present. The program was presented by the guests. Doris Park of Kalona is doing a bronze bust of “Ding” Darling for the Lake Darling Lodge. Her part of the program was the procedure used in making a bronze bust. Jan Gallagher of Washington gave an informative presentation for the new high school auditorium. A question-and-answer session followed. Their next meeting will be April 1 at the home of Joyce Dunbar.
The Brighton Chamber meets at 5:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of every month at the meeting room of the Brighton Federation Bank. Everyone is welcome to attend.
