Brighton Volunteer First Responders Annual Fall Breakfast will be held on Oct. 27 from 6:30 to 10 a.m. at the Brighton Community Building. All-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage, biscuits and gravy, eggs and beverages will be served, for a free-will offering at the door. All proceeds will be used for equipment, training and vehicle maintenance. Everyone is welcome.
Rita Berry with Isaac and Megan of Bates City, Mo., arrived at the home of her mother, Winifred Fritz, on Oct. 13. Her husband, Tim, joined them that evening. Tim and Isaac left about 3 a.m. on Oct. 14, and Rita and Megan returned home later that afternoon.
A hayride party was planned to be held at Winifred’s home on Oct. 13. Twenty-eight friends and relatives arrived for the party even though the rain ruined the hayride.
Mary Stecker with Bridget Hollingsworth and friend Joel of Fairfield brought the evening meal Oct. 15 to her mother, Winifred Fritz.
Pat Remington visited her parents, John and Dorothy Babberl of Windsor Heights, Oct. 12-15. She received a phone call the evening of Oct. 15 that her father had passed away.
Donna Guy of Brighton participated in a china convention Oct. 10-12. Donna had a booth and demonstration. It was held at the Ashton House Western Hotel in Morton, Ill. Donna returned home Oct. 13.
