The Nov. 25 evening meal was brought to the home of Winifred Fritz in Brighton by her children and grandchildren: Mary Stecker with friend Joel of Fairfield; Tony Fritz of Brighton with friend Lynn; J.D. Hollingsworth of Packwood; and Bridget Hollingsworth of Fairfield.
Winifred Fritz with son Tony spent Thanksgiving Day with his friend Lynn of North Liberty. They enjoyed a dinner at the home of Lynn's brother, Michael Manternach in Manchester.
Charles and Debi Fritz of Sigourney held a family Thanksgiving celebration at their home on Nov. 24. Those present included his mother, Winifred Fritz; and other family members. Not able to attend were Tim and Rita Berry and family of Missouri, Nathan and Rachael Germany and daughter of Nevada, Iowa; and Josh and Dawn Goltfelty and family of Nebraska. They also celebrated Greg's birthday.
The Krony Krew Bridge Club met on Nov. 28 at the home of Dorothy Miller. Kathryn Dickinson, Shirley Schooley and Ginny Brinton were the prize winners. The next meeting on Dec. 12 will be held at the home of Shirley Schooley.
A memorial Mass for a fourth-degree Knights of Columbus member was held Wednesday, Nov. 21, in Keota. Winifred Fritz received a gold chalice in memory of her late husband, Robert Fritz. Present were her children Joe Fritz and Tony Fritz, both of Brighton; Mary Stecker with Bridget Hollingsworth, and Greg Fritz, all of Fairfield; and Charles Fritz with Nathan, Andrew and Jesse of Sigourney.
Enjoying Thanksgiving dinner at the home of Danny and Hazel Greiner were their children, Becky and Bonnie of Minnesota, and Paul Greiner with friend Lynn Greisten and son of Richland. Also present were Paul's children, Andrea and Josh Emery with Eli of Iowa City; and Phillip Greiner and friend Sam of Tiffin; Becky's son Danny Callahan of Anchorage, Alaska; and Hazel's sister Gerry Heston of Tennessee; and friend Bill Peck of Pleasant Plain.
Ginny Brinton spent Nov. 20-24, at the home of her brother, Fritz and Nancy Gowey and family in MIlan, Ill.
Shirley Schooley had Thanksgiving Day guests at her home, including her son, Monte Schooley with Abbie of Iowa City, and her niece and nephew Gary and Sharon Schooley of Oskaloosa.
