Jeff and Michelle Pacha of Wichita, Kan., visited his parents, Gerald and Rosemary Pacha, on Feb. 9-10. Gerald was a patient at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.
Bob Shelangoski, with his granddaughter Felicia Schulty of Wellman, participated in a cribbage tournament in Wellman on Feb 9. Felicia, who had never played cribbage before, finished in fourth place.
Lucy Dietzman with Malcolm and Branden of Keosauqua visited her mother, Winifred Fritz. They visited on Feb. 10 and stayed for lunch. Winifred’s grandson J.D. Hollingsworth of Packwood visited during the afternoon and evening of Feb. 10. Providing the evening meal were Winifred’s children Jane and Virgil Symmonds, Mary Stecker with Bridget Hollingsworth, and Greg and Deb Fritz, all of Fairfield, and Tony Fritz of Brighton with friend Lynn of North Liberty.
The Krony Krew Bridge Club met on Feb. 13 at the home of Phyllis Scheeler. Shirley Schooley and Louise Frakes were the winners. Their next meeting will be held on Feb. 27 at the home of Kathryn Dickinson.
St. Joseph and Cabrini Altar and Rosary met on the afternoon of Feb. 12. Plans were made to have rolls and coffee, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, March 3. Sister Marty will be a guest speaker that day. Her program will be on faith and love. A lunch will be provided. The annual soup supper at Cabrini Hall will be on Sunday, March 10, from 4 until 7 p.m.
The Parish Council of St. Joseph and Cabrini met Wednesday evening, Feb. 13. A business meeting and election of officers for this year was held. Paul Fritz will serve as president, Marian Milender as vice president, and Cindy Adam as secretary.
