Rose Wickenkamp of the Sigourney Care Center celebrated her 80th birthday March 16. She was surprised with a meal and cake from her brother, Herb and Sandy Moeller of Wever, and their sisters, Kathleen and Francis Spiesz of Farmington, and Winifred Fritz.

Providing the evening meal of March 17 at the home of Winifred Fritz were her daughters and grandchildren Jane and Virgil Symmonds, Mary Stecker with Bridget Hollingsworth, all of Fairfield, and J.D. Hollingsworth of Packwood.

Lucy Dietzman of Keosauqua spent March 5 with her mother, Winifred Fritz.

Mike Phenicie celebrated his 65th birthday on March 17. A Mexican potluck was held in his honor after services at the First Church of God in Brighton. Approximately 40 people attended.

Chapter AQ, P.E.O., met March 19 at the home of Arlene Fritz. Fifteen members were present. The group held the election and installation of officers. The president read the annual letter to be sent to the state chapter.

Their next meeting will be on April 2 at the home of Liz Gegner.
