Winifred Fritz had as overnight guests March 30 her daughters, Rita and Tim Berry and family, and Lucy Dietzman and sons. After attending Mass at St. Joseph-Mother Cabrini Church, they returned to Winifred’s home for Easter dinner. They were joined by Lucy’s husband Matt, and by the Joe Fritz family of Brighton; Greg and Deb Fritz and daughter Trish and Justin Copeland with Kellen, Jane and Virgil Symmonds and family except Nolan and Kelly, Mary Stecker with Bridget Hollingsworth and friend Joel, all of Fairfield; J.D. Hollingsworth of Packwood; and Greg and Deb’s neighbors, Sarah and Mike and two children.
Monte Schooley and daughters of Iowa City spent Easter in Brighton with his mother, Shirley Schooley.
Carrie Ahn with Alexis of Fayetteville, N .C., surprised her parents, Ron and Kathy Rich of Brighton. They arrived on April 2 and will return home on April 6.
Chapter AQ, P.E.O., met April 2 at the home of Jan Eddy. Fifteen members were present. Jan gave the program on Founders Day. Their next meeting will be on April 16 at the home of Dorothy Miller.
Gerald and Rosemary Pacha hosted an Easter dinner in their home on March 31. Guests were their daughter, Jennifer and Brian Phillips, and granddaughter, Aurora, of Urbandale; Rosemary’s sister, Chris and Scott Turnipseed of Moline, Ill.; and friends, Jean Frazer of Iowa City, and Katie Allison of Washington. They had fun watching their granddaughter take part in her first Easter egg hunt after church services that morning. After dinner everyone enjoyed their homemade Easter eggs of all flavors, sizes and colors, and Easter basket surprises along with lots of pictures and visiting.
Jason Roberts celebrated his birthday on March 29. He had a campfire and barbecue at his home. Family members and friends arrived from Washington, Brighton, Fairfield, and Crawfordsville, and from Dolan Springs, Ariz.

John Leopold of Chicago, Ill., visited his cousin, Caryl Smith, March 29-31. They were joined for Easter dinner by 27 relatives and friends from Burlington, Iowa City, Fairfield, Brighton and Libertyville.

A birthday party was held for 4-year-old Tytus Goltfelty on March 30. He is the son of Dawn and Josh of Bellevue, Neb. The party was held at the home of his grandparents, Jane and Virgil Symmonds in Fairfield. Also present were his grandmother, Winifred Fritz of Brighton, the Tim Berry Family, Lucy Dietzman and sons of Keosauqua, his uncle Nolan and aunt Kelly Symmonds of Kalona; and Mary Stecker with Bridget and friend Joel of Fairfield.
