Celebrating Star Trek

Riverside Area Community Club (RACC) president Paul McCracken waves to the crowd during the Trek Fest parade on Saturday, June 29. McCracken was dressed as one of the characters from the theme “I Mudd.” Despite the spotty rain showers during the day, the 29th annual Trek Fest still went on. The parade kicked things off at 10 a.m. At 1:30 p.m. there was a costume contest at the Hall Park stage. After that the Bill Reilly talent show took place. In the evening there was live entertainment from “Close Call” and “Faradays Law.” Trek Fest ended with a fireworks show, which was lighted by Stumptown Shooters at 10 p.m.
