Columbus tops Highland in low-scoring affair

RIVERSIDE — Columbus won a low-scoring Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division contest 28-23 at Highland on Friday night.

The Wildcats (6-7, 6-7 SEISC North) won the game at the free-throw line, where they made 15 of their 27 charity shots.

Senior Megan Pretz had a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds to lead Columbus, and sophomore Kelsey Pretz added eight points.

Sophomore Chelsey Lampe and freshman Cheyann Adamson scored seven points apiece to lead the Huskies (8-6, 6-6 SEISC North).
