Columbus wins its seventh straight game

COLUMBUS JUNCTION — Columbus pulled away from visiting WACO in the fourth quarter of Friday’s Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division game for a 45-31 win.

The Wildcats (12-7, 10-7 SEISC North), who won their seventh straight game, out-scored the Warriors 17-9 over the game’s final eight minutes.

Senior Megan Pretz had a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds to lead Columbus, and senior Caitlin Chaney also scored 10 points. Junior Jaelyn Unternahrer, junior Jordan Rodgers, sophomore Gaby Wagler and sophomore Aaliyah Brown scored six points apiece for the Warriors (6-13, 5-12 SEISC North).
