The Crawfordsville American Legion Post No. 593 will host a Halloween Costume Judging party, at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at the WACO Elementary School for students in preschool through sixth grade.

Refreshments of doughnuts, milk and coffee will be served following the judging. This is Trick-or-Treat Night in Crawfordsville. Residents are asked to leave their porch lights on if they want the Trick-or-Treaters to stop at their house.

The Crawfordsville Community Club is sponsoring “The Haunted Hall” at the Crawfordsville Legion Hall Kids Night, Oct. 31 from 7 to 9 p.m. for kids 12 and under, following the Legion Costume Party at the school.

There will be Adult Night (12 years and older) from 7 to 10 p.m. Nov. 1 and 2. There is a small fee for both these events.

The United Church of Crawfordsville will host its annual fall soup supper on Saturday, Nov. 16 from 4:30 to 6:45 p.m. Chili, potato and oyster soup will be served, along with relishes and desserts. A free-will offering will be taken.

At 7 p.m. in the sanctuary, singers from Muscatine,”In God’s Time,” will entertain.

Marie Lowe, former Crawfordsville resident, now residing at Parkview Home in Wayland will celebrate her 97th birthday on Sunday, Nov. 3. She would enjoy hearing from friends and cards may reach her in care of the Parkview Home.
