The Wyman Community Club met Monday, Nov. 4 for an 11:30 a.m. luncheon at the Ainsworth Four Corners.
Those in attendance were: Keith and Pat Jones, Lorrine Frame and John Wittrig of Winfield; Fern Clang, Frieda Finke, Pauline Richardson, Robert and Lucille Humphreys and Ruth Erwin of Crawfordsville; Wilma Vosburg of Grinnell; Ruth Johnston of Ainsworth; and Peg Buffington, Joann Love, Adeline and Al Sents and Jane Kaczinski , all of Washington.
Wilma treated everyone to German chocolate cake for her birthday.
The group will meet next on Monday, Dec. 2 at 11:30 a.m. for lunch at Ainsworth Four Corners.
Eleven members of the White Cloud Club met Nov. 5 at 2 p.m. with Betty Lintz for their monthly meeting.
Those attending were: Lennis Beichter, Julia Bletcher, Jolene Colthurst, Frieda Finke, Joyce Huff, Betty Lucas, Pat Miller, Pauline Richardson, Virginia Sands, Wanda Schultz and the hostess.
Members answered roll call with “Do you have any Thanksgiving plans?”
The secretary’s minutes were read and approved and the treasury balance was given.
New program books were distributed.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
Delicious refreshments were served by the hostess.
The Dec. 3 meeting will be a 12:30 p.m. luncheon with Jolene Colthurst.
Everyone is reminded of the fall soup supper at the United Church of Crawfordsville on Saturday, Nov. 16 from 4:30 to 6:45 p.m. Chili, potato and oyster soup will be served, along with salads and desserts, all for a free-will offering. At 7 p.m., “In God’s Time” singers from Muscatine will entertain in the sanctuary.
The Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center will hold a blood drive Monday, Dec. 2. from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the United Church of Crawfordsville. This is sponsored by the Crawfordsville Lions Club.
