Floyd and Pauline Richardson celebrated Thanksgiving and an early Christmas on Thanksgiving Day with the following family members as guests: Regina and John Arthur of Iowa City; Jim Arthur of Ames, Jill Arthur of Denver, Alan and Lori Richardson, Cooper and Colby of Adel; Rick and Teresa TeKolste, Colton, Logan and Devon of Altoona; David Richardson and Lindy Lintz, Collin and Marty Lintz of Mt. Union; and Kasey Lintz of Crawfordsville. Kelly and Max Dotson of Ames joined the group in the afternoon.
Nine members of the White Cloud Club met Tuesday, Dec. 3 for a 12:30 p.m. luncheon at the home of Jolene Colthurst.
Following a delicious meal, President Lennis Beichter opened the business meeting with two readings, "Gifts of Love" and Gifts that keep on Giving." The secretary's and treasurer's report was approved as read.
There being no further business, a Christmas grab bag exchange was enjoyed.
Members then filled a plate with candy,cookies, snacks and/or drink mix brought by each member.
Members are reminded that there will not be a meeting in January. Lennis Beichter will host the Feb. 4 meeting.

The Wednesday Study Club met at the home of Maxine Martin the morning of Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, for a Christmas Coffee with 11 members present.
Janice Twinam presented the program on the foreign origin of many of our Christmas customs.
There will not be a January meeting and the hostess in February will be Lennis Beichter.
Lions Club members and their guests enjoyed dinner at Bryn Mawr on Monday, Dec. 9, 2013. Those attending were: Scott and Jeanne Davis, Larry and Donna Fletcher, Joel and Luetta Greene, Gene and Betty Lintz, Larry and Nancy Love, Mike and Shirley Massey, Gene and Pat Miller, Mindy Rochwick, Billie Jo Rose, Loree and Ken Stogdill, Larry and Barb Swailes, Steve and Janice Williams and Craig and Rachel Koehler.
Names relating to Christmas were put on the back of chairs and names were drawn for prizes. Luetta Greene and Billie Jo Rose were the committee for the evening.
The next event for the Lions Club will be the annual Christmas drawing to be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at the Crawfordsville Fire Station. The 4-H club will hold a bake sale at noon with Santa arriving at 12:30 p.m.
