The meeting room of the Pizza Hut in Washington was the place for the May 21 meeting of the Wednesday Study Club where the 14 members present enjoyed the noon buffet.

Meda Fulton and Cathy Williams were in charge of arrangements.

The speaker for the meeting was Sue Mitchell, who has been with the public health department in Washington County for 11 years. She works with people 65 years of age and older and her main purpose is to aid them, whenever possible, to be able to stay in their own homes. She described the various kinds of needs of her clients, the ways to meet those needs, and the various governmental regulations required of her department.

During the business meeting that followed Sue's presentation, book lists were handed in and some book briefs were shared.

The June meeting will be in the Stoufer room of the library with Carolyn Bollman presenting the program on "Exploring Underground Railroad Quilting."

A Swedish Pancake Breakfast will be held Saturday, June 7 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Swedish Parish Hall. The Swedish American Museum in Swedesburg will be open during the hours of the pancake breakfast.

Saturday, June 7, is the day for "Back in the Day Cruise and Car Show" at the United Church of Crawfordsville parking lot. Registration is from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (No entry fee).

The car show will be held from 12 to 3 p.m. Awards will be given at 3 p.m. Lunch will be served on the grounds by the Crawfordsville Lions Club. Anyone is welcome to bring their old car and share in the fun and fellowship.
