​Seven members of the White Cloud Club enjoyed breakfast, Tuesday, June 3, at Tazza Bella in Mount Pleasant.

Attending were Lennis Beichter, Julia Bletscher, Jolene Colthurst, Frieda Finke, Betty Lintz, Pat Miller and Pauline Richardson.

The group will meet next month with Carrie Coble on July 1.

Kelly Lucas and her brother, Nick Lucas and daughters, Anna Marie and Emma Jane of Memphis, Tenn., were recent visitors in the home of their grandparents, Allan and Betty Lucas, and other relatives in the area.

The regular meeting of the Iowa Chapter L, of the National T.T.T. Society was held at 7 p.m. May 27, at the Olds Church of Christ.

The gathering started with the three campers and their parents/families joining the chapter to get their suitcases for their trip to camp. The three opened their gifts and showed all what they had chosen to take to camp. Treats of ice cream with all the toppings were provided by Ruth and Glenda.

Following the girls' departure, the meeting was called to order by President Missy Fear. Meditations on the meanings of some common flowers were given by Karolyn Crawford.

Twenty members and one guest answered roll call by telling how many people were in their graduating class.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as corrected.

The treasurer's report was given and was filed for audit. Lisa reminded everyone of the step it up campaign.

Nancy McGohan, Barb Shelman and JoAnn Roth reported on the day of shopping they had with the campers. It was noted that girls enjoyed the day. Nancy showed the group pictures of the shopping trip. It was noted that physicals had been given the girls.

Ways and Means: Leah questioned as to what fundraising the chapter would like to do this year. It was decided that once again butter braids would be sold, this year in July.

Pat Miller shared that she had sent gift cards to former campers. Receipts were presented for these and also other camper expenses.

The next meeting will be June 23, at the Olds Church of Christ with Bea Tolander and Betty Molander as hostesses. The camp girls will be in attendance to tell how they enjoyed camp. There will also be a Founder's Day celebration and initiation of one new member at this meeting.

The meeting was adjourned by President Missy Fear.

Following the meeting a plant sale was held.

Refreshments were served by hostesses, Ruth Erwin and Glenda Alvine

In church news, the United Church of Crawfordsville and the Ainsworth Community Church have hired Amber Davis to do a summer youth program. This is a pilot program for the summer.
