Creative Living Department, Fortnightly

Dec 09, 2013

The Creative Living Department of the Washington Fortnightly Club met on Dec. 5 for a noon Christmas potluck luncheon at Halcycon House. Maxine Davisson and Sharon Niffenegger served as hostesses.

Esther Bordwell gave the inspirational reading on “The Joys Of Christmas.” Roll call was answered by 12 members telling “what I do on a snowy day.” Most agreed that reading was a great pastime. Sharon Niffenegger read the minutes of the last meeting and gave the treasurer's report. Sonja Campbell presented information on the high school scholarships to be given again this year. The plan made by the scholarship committee is to present two $500 certificates using donated money and money in the general treasurer account.

Shirley Pfeifer gave the program on Immigration and the Bible.

The next meeting will be held at the UP Dining Room on Feb. 27, with Dorothy Soucek and Joleen Krotz as hostesses. The program will be Hospice Care by Jean Wollenberg at 1:30 p.m.
