Creative Living, Fortnightly

Oct 28, 2013

The Creative Living Department of the Washington Fortnightly Club met at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 24, for dessert in the dining room of the United Presbyterian Home. Co-hostesses were Shirley Pfeifer and Julia Gamon. Pat Johnson was the guest speaker. Her program was titled "Sears Homes."

Inspirational readings were given by Esther Bordwell. Ten members and one guest answered roll call by naming "a favorite room in my home." Tickets for the Nov. 11 Anniversary Dinner were sold. Greeters from this department will be Janice Twinam and Shirley Pfeifer. Jane Fehr will be a co-hostess for the April meeting.

Members were asked to mark June 1-8, 2014, on their calendars as there are many activities commemorating Washington's 175th anniversary at that time.

The Dec. 5 noon potluck luncheon will be held at Halcyon House with Maxine Davisson and Sharon Niffeneger serving as hostesses.
