Demon bowlers fall to Keokuk in Southeast Conference dual
The Washington girls’ and boys’ bowling teams both lost to visiting Keokuk in a Southeast Conference dual at Melody Lanes on Saturday.
The Demon boys totaled a team score of 2,359, but lost to the Chiefs by 243 pins. Senior Adam Woodson rolled games of 215 and 180, and his two-game series score of 395 led Washington. Senior Dalton Nichols added a 339 series, and senior Shawn Edwards had a two-game total of 336. Senior Zach Martin had a 280 series, and senior Allan Raymundo’s 262 series rounded out the scoring. Senior Ryan Roberts toppled 229 pins on the afternoon. The Demons added 747 pins in the Baker round.
The Washington girls totaled a team score of 2,088, falling to the Chiefs by 283 pins. Junior Brandi Hagans rolled games of 128 and 166, and her two-game series score of 294 led the Demons. Sophomore Jessica Londberg added a 286 series, and sophomore Kali McDole had a two-game total of 261. Sophmores Kailey Martin and Ivy Hamilton both had a 258 series, and sophomore Rylee Arbogast toppled 227 pins at the meet. Washington added 731 pins in the Baker round.
The Washington bowling team will host Fairfield at Melody Lanes this Saturday at 2 p.m. for a Southeast Conference dual meet.
