Demon bowlers fall to Mt. Pleasant
MT. PLEASANT — The Washington girls’ bowling team fell to Southeast Conference rival Mt. Pleasant and West Central (Ill.) during a meet at Iris Lanes on Saturday.
The host Panthers won the meet with a team score of 2,621. West Central toppled 2,075 pins to take second place, and the Demons were third with a score of 1,814.
Junior Brandi Hagans rolled games of 190 and 114, and her two-game series score of 304 led the Demons. Sophomore Rylee Arbogast had games of 128 and 135 for a 263 series. Sophomore Ivy Hamilton had a two-game total of 227, and junior Elaney England had a 223 series. Sophomore Abbey Tisor’s 193 series rounded out the scoring, and sophomore Kali McDole toppled 160 pins in two games. Washington added 604 pins in the Baker round.
The Washington bowling team will travel to Arrowhead Bowl in Keokuk next Saturday for a Southeast Conference dual meet with the Chiefs. The meet will begin at noon.
