Demon, Warrior girls place at Panther Relays

MT. PLEASANT – The Washington and WACO high school girls’ track teams took part in the Panther Relays last night.
The Demons placed fourth out of eight teams in Class A with 69 points. The Warriors were eighth of 11 teams in Class B at 30.
All placements for Washington are in Class A. WACO’s individual results are for Class B.
Washington
Macy Marek continued her run of success in the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash, winning in 12.98  and 27.1 seconds. The Demon 4x200-meter relay (Kelly Wheeler, Grace Redlinger, Stephanie Fishback and Marek) won in 1 minute, 49.7 seconds.
Morgan Kimball placed second in the 400-meter dash in 1:02.63. The Washington 4x100-meter relay (Dema Giardino, Redlinger, Fishback and Marek) was second in 52.45.
Wheeler was third in the 100 in 13.51. The 4x400-meter relay (Fishback, Jessie Buchholz, Redlinger and Kimball) placed third in 4:21.97. The 4x800-meter relay team (Mariah Howard, Stephanie Loy, Lexi Redlinger and Emme Keith) took fourth in 11:31.33.
In the 4x100-meter shuttle hurdle relay, Washington (Emma Wood, Buchholz, Carolan Hoffman and Makenzie Knutson) took fifth in 1:14.01. The Demon distance medley squad (D. Giardino, Isabella Giardino, Addison Gaal and Jasmine Mares) was fifth in 5:09.63. The Washington sprint medley (Wheeler, D. Giardino, Amber Salow and Gaal) placed fifth in 2:04.01. Buchholz had a sixth-place time of 17.15 in the 100-meter hurdles.
WACO
Angelique Frier was second in the 200 in 28.51. Kasey Sutton took second in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:18.88.
Frier was fourth in the 100 in 13.61. Trilby Frier took fourth in the 200 in 29.31. Mayme Hinh placed fourth in the shot put at 30 feet, 4 inches. T. Frier had a sixth-place time of 13.76 in the 100. Hinh was sixth in the discus at 82-8.
The Washington girls will be at home tomorrow afternoon. The WACO girls will be back on the track at Mt. Pleasant on Tuesday, April 29.
