Down Memory Lane

Dec 20, 2013

This picture was taken in 1944 when Mrs. Benson was the teacher at Red Brick School. As part of a school program for parents, Duane Thompson (left) and Lee Goodlander, both of whom were probably in sixth grade, wore white satin costumes, including top hats and canes, to perform a song-and-dance number. The choreography was fairly simple and of little note, but the song has been burned into Thompson’s memory all these years.
