Eagles held hitless in loss at Montezuma
MONTEZUMA — Keota was held without a hit in Monday’s 11-0 five-inning South Iowa Cedar League loss at Montezuma.
Junior Kolton Greiner had the best night of any Eagle at the plate, as he drew a pair of walks.
The Braves (12-3, 9-1 SICL) broke the game open with six runs in the third inning.
Senior Brian Berg started and took the loss for Keota (0-10, 0-10 SICL). He gave up 11 runs, nine of which were earned, on seven hits in four innings. He struck out five batters and walked eight.
