As the 2013 running of the Washington County Fair moves into its fourth day, the winners of many of the events have been released.
Grace Hiller of Crooked Creek won the rooster crowing contest held Wednesday morning. In the poultry show, Jonah Van Roekel of Kalona Klassics won the intermediate/senior showmanship award. Olivia Pacha of Jackson Jets won the junior showmanship award. Darren Rickheim-Hiller of Crooked Creek won the champion pen of two poultry contest and Alex Skovgard of Crooked Creek showed the reserve. Rickheim-Hiller also showed the champion pen of two geese, with Grace Hiller of Crooked Creek showing the reserve. Rickheim-Hiller showed the champion pen of two ducks and Skovgard had the reserve. Grace Hiller showed the champion fancy exotic larger breed pair and Joseph Collier of Crooked Creek showed the reserve.
Skovgard won the champion fancy exotic hobby bantam-type breed award and Rickheim-Hiller showed the reserve. Anna Duwa of 76 Progressives showed the champion standardized production broilers and Lona Farrier of Crooked Creek showed the reserve. Farrier also showed the champion production pullet pen of 3 and Eli Van Roekel of Kalona Klassics showed the reserve.
