Fall grant application deadline set for Oct. 8
RIVERSIDE—The Washington County Riverboat Foundation (WCRF) set the dates for the fall grant applications and awards.
The decision was made at their meeting Wednesday evening at the Riverside Casino.
WCRF board president Patty Koller said both she and Jim Logan, executive assistant for the WCRF, were thinking of having the fall grant applications due on Wednesday, Oct. 8.
“That’s a little bit earlier than usual,” said WCRF board member Ed Raber. “That should let us shoot the money out before the end of the calendar year?”
“Right,” Koller said. “What we’re looking at is possibly getting out the grants earlier in November this year so that we get some of that money going to the communities before the end of the year.”
Logan said the application due date was only two days earlier than last year’s fall grant application deadline.
“We also talked about the possibility of Nov. 5 as the grant awards day,” Koller said. “Nov. 5 is a Wednesday. Would you be able to work with this date? It’s a little bit earlier than we’ve had. Any objections or comments about those dates?”
A motion was made to approve Oct. 8 for the application deadline and Nov. 5 for the awards date. The motion was approved unanimously.
