Five arrested in New London and Mediapolis

NEW LONDON — In a joint investigation with the New London Police Department and the Mt. Pleasant Police department, three search warrants were executed on Dec. 5, resulting in several drug busts in the area.
The first search warrant was conducted at the 300 block of North Chestnut Street in New London, resulting in the arrest of Mark Glaha, 40, of New London. Glaha was charged with conspiracy to deliver over five grams of methamphetamine and could face up to 25 years in prison if convicted, according to a press release form the Henry County Sheriff’s office.
The second warrant was conducted at the 200 block of North Chestnut Street in New London. This warrant resulted in the arrest of Jeremy Allen, 32, New London, and Jolynn Allen, 36, New London. Both Allens were charged with conspiracy to deliver over five grams of methamphetamine and child endangerment. Both subjects could face up to 30 years in prison if convicted, according to the press release.
The third search warrant was conducted at the 600 block of Main Street in Mediapolis. As a result of the warrant, Greg Baxter Jr., 30, Mediapolis and Morgan Ledbetter, 25, Mt. Pleasant, were arrested. Baxter was charged with conspiracy to deliver over five grams of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver, child endangerment, drug tax stamp violation for methamphetamine, and drug tax stamp violation for large amounts of marijuana. According to the press release, Baxter could face up to 45 years in prison if convicted.
Ledbetter was charged with conspiracy to deliver over five grams of methamphetamine, child endangerment and drug tax stamp violation for large amounts of marijuana. She could face up to 35 years in prison if convicted, according to the press release.
The Henry County Sheriff’s office, New London Police, Mt. Pleasant Police Department, Iowa State Patrol Tactical Unit, Iowa Department of Transportation, Iowa State Patrol, Iowa Department of Narcotics, Fairfield Police Departmenrt, Des Moines County Task Force, Des Moines County Sheriff’s office, Iowa High Risk Probation and Parole, and Stroud K9 Services of Mt. Pleasant assisted with the execution of the search warrants.
