Fleur de Lis Club

Apr 02, 2014

Fleur de Lis Club members and guest Margaret Quigley met at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2014, at the Applewood Bistro at Halcyon House with Bev Crandall as hostess.

Bev Crandall made arrangements for the group to have several varieties of pie available for dessert. She then led the group in an Easter craft project. White washcloths were folded and made into bunnies with the help of ribbon, and movable eyes. The group also enjoyed viewing the 175th Washington publication which has just been available for sale for the 175th celebration to be celebrated in June of this year.

Following dessert and the craft project, Marie Hora, vice-president, presided over a short business meeting. Roll call was answered with each telling when they thought spring would arrive.

The secretary and treasurer reports were given by Linda Birney. She read a thank-you from HACAP for the club's donation at Christmas time. Election of officers was held with Bev Krotz making a motion to retain the same officers for another year. This was seconded by Bev Crandall. Officers retained for another year are president, Nancy Kimmel; vice president, Marie Hora; and secretary-treasurer, Linda Birney. The Remembrance Committee will be selected by the president for the coming year.

The next meeting will be Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at the home of Linda Birney. Note change of time. Club dues will be payable at this time.
