Four arrested in pair of drug bustsSex offender also found
MT. PLEASANT — The Mt. Pleasant Police Department made four arrests as the results of two drug busts in Mt. Pleasant.
On Feb. 21, the Mt. Pleasant Police department executed a search warrant at the Michael Bonser residence, in the 100 block of North Jefferson.
As a result of the drug bust, Bonser, 54, Mt. Pleasant, was charged with two counts of delivery of marijuana, and Shane Decock, 24, Mt. Pleasant, was charged with one count of delivery of marijuana.
The Mt. Pleasant Police Department executed a search warrant on Feb. 22 in the 600 block of North Carol Avenue. During the search, Aaron Alvarez, 23, Ottumwa, was located.
Alvarez was wanted on a felony arrest warrant for a dangerous drugs charge. He is also on the sex offender register list and was not allowed to be at the residence.
In the course of the search, three children and another juvenile were located at the residence. Alvarez was charged with assault on peace officers causing injuries, interference with official acts and possession of marijuana.
Also arrested as a result of the warrant was Jeremy Reid, 18, Mt. Pleasant, for possession of marijuana and possession of drug equipment.
The case is still under investigation.
