Franklin Cubs 4-H Club
The monthly meeting of the Franklin Cubs 4-H Club was held Sunday, Nov. 4, at the Washington County Extension Office. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Jameson Bell.
Members answered roll call by naming something they were thankful for. The secretary's and treasurer's reports were given.
The club made sure that everyone re-enrolled for the new 4-H year. The club voted to donate two to three canned goods per person to HACAP instead of having a gift exchange at the next meeting.
The club was informed that the Beef Weigh-in is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Kalona Sale barn.
The 4-H camera workshop was held Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Extension Office from 9 to 11 a.m.
The meeting was adjourned with the 4-H pledge led by Matt Moeller.
Presentations were given by Jameson on Ice Fishing and Ben Schneider on the Dangers of Battery Acid. The next meeting was scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 2, with a Christmas pizza party.
