The Washington County Genealogical Society met Oct. 1 for the regular monthly meeting. Twelve people were present, including Lawrence and Wanda Zuehlke
following hospital stays.
The program was a group sharing of “Old Photos.” Several brought photos, dating from the Civil War to photos of lost ancestors.
Copies of the proposed changes to the bylaws were handed out and explained. Members will review them and discuss at the next meeting. The final vote will be taken the following month.
Bill Hazelett and Tom Dayton were appointed to the Nominating Committee to present a slate of officers to be elected in November.
Margery Lasek had given a tour of the genealogy room to a local group.
Janice Twinam will present the program “Slavery in the South” at the next meeting.
