WELLMAN — A pep rally was held at Mid-Prairie High School on Sunday evening to send off the Golden Hawk girls’ basketball team, which will take on MOC-Floyd Valley in a Class 3A state quarterfinal at 3:15 p.m. today in Des Moines. The players were announced, and the players and their parents battled in a free-throw shooting contest and a dance-off.
