Go-Getters 4-H Club sews pillows for Children’s Hospital
The Washington Go-Getters 4-H Club gathered Jan. 13 to complete their community service project of making pillows for the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital's unit. Club members picked special child-themed fabric, measured, cut, sewed, stuffed and labeled 66 pillows that will be delivered to the children’s unit.
This community service project allowed the 4-H club to give to children in need, but also challenged many of them to learn a new skill of sewing.
The Washington Go-Getters 4-H Club is led by Laurie Pemberton and Tammy Vittetoe with the help of many parents as well.
