Golden Hawk boys fall short in conference dual

Apr 30, 2014

WILTON – The Mid-Prairie boys’ golf team participated in a dual with their River Valley Conference opponent Wilton last night, falling to the Beavers 233 – 205.
“The day was not looking too good as we drove in rain from Wellman to Wilton.  Once we arrived at the golf course the rain stopped and we were able to get our meet in.  The course was wet but the boys played through it. Sophomore Paul Hawbaker led us in his first meet of the season,” Mid-Prairie head coach Kelby Bender said.
Hawbaker set the pace with his nine-hole total of 45. Ethan Danner followed with a 54. Seth Mann came in at 64. Zach Owens and Alec Rauch both carded 70s. Alex Rich completed the Golden Hawk tally with his 78.
The Mid-Prairie boys are scheduled to golf again tomorrow at West Branch in another conference dual.
