Goncho hearing continued Monday
The owners of Goncho Apartments in Washington have been given more time.
According to Washington City Administrator Brent Hinson, there was a court hearing Monday where City attorney Kevin Olson represented the city.
“I believe what we ended up doing is giving them [Jared and Elmer Miller, owner of Goncho Apartments] a four-week continuance,” Hinson said. “It just keeps going, but we’re trying to work with the property owners to get this resolved.”
Steve Donnolly, building and zoning administrator for the city, said the Millers were working on getting bids for the methamphetamine abatement in the building.
If things don’t progress with the cleanup in four weeks, Donnolly said the city would go back to court to pursue things further with the Millers.
