On Monday, April 1, the Community Foundation of Washington County (CFWC) distributed over $26,000 to Washington County non-profits at a reception held in the Washington Public Library. These organizations currently have endowment funds invested with the CFWC and its lead organization the Community Foundation of the Great Riverbend in Bettendorf.     The grants included: Highland School District, $500; Lime Creek Cemetery, Leo and Martha Hall Fund, $500; Kalona Historical Society, $1,100; HACAP, $1,600; Camp REECE, $3,300; Washington County Humane Society, $3,300; Mid-Prairie School Foundation, Greiner Scholarship, $3,450; Washington Community Schools Foundation, Jackson Scholarship, $4,600; and Washington Iowa Betterment Foundation, $8,000.
