Habitat for Humanity looking for partner family

Dec 24, 2013

Habitat for Humanity is looking for its next partner family for Washington County.

The partner family's income needs to fall between 25 to 50 percent of the area median income, approximately $19,000 to $32,000 for a family of four. The family should have a demonstrated need for housing, which includes unsafe, crowded, too expensive to heat or rent. The family can prove they pay most of their bills on time and has a limited debt beyond medical bills. Proof of permanent residency or citizenship is required.

The partner family needs to donate 250 hours of "sweat equity" to build the home, have worked in the same job for at least a year, and live or work in the counties of Washington, Iowa, Cedar or Johnson.
